Stripe Checkout and privacy-enhanced YouTube video playback operate on their own domains when you choose to use them.
You remain in control
Browser settings can remove or block cookies, although blocking the session cookie prevents secure dashboard sign-in.
This policy applies to certifyepc.co.uk. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how information linked to an account, booking, device or online interaction is handled.

What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text record stored by a website through your browser. Cookies can keep a user signed in, protect a transaction, remember a preference, measure how a site is used or support advertising. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, embedded content identifiers and device information.
Some cookies are essential to provide a service requested by the visitor. Others are optional and, where UK law requires, must not be used before the visitor gives valid consent.

The cookie contains a random session identifier, not your password, card details or complete case record. The associated session is stored on our server. It is configured as HTTP-only so normal page scripts cannot read it, Secure in production so it is transmitted over HTTPS, and SameSite Strict to reduce cross-site request risks.
Because this cookie is necessary to provide secure login and dashboard functions you request, it does not require optional-cookie consent. If you block or delete it, public pages and quote functions can still work, but you will be unable to remain signed in.
Not every security value is a cookieAnti-spam challenge tokens and hidden bot-detection fields are submitted with a form request. They are not used to track browsing across websites.

External services and their technologies
Stripe Checkout
If you select Pay by Card, CertifyEPC redirects you to a secure page hosted by Stripe. Stripe may use cookies and comparable technologies for checkout operation, fraud prevention, authentication, payment-method features and regulatory compliance. These are set on Stripe-controlled domains and are governed by Stripe’s own information. CertifyEPC does not use the Stripe cookie data to build advertising profiles.
YouTube privacy-enhanced video
The home page can display thumbnails retrieved from i.ytimg.com. When you choose to play a video, it loads through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com embed. Google or YouTube may still receive technical information such as IP address, browser information and the fact that the video was requested, and may use storage or cookies once you interact with the player.
Links to other websites
Opening a third-party link takes you to that provider’s website, where its own cookie choices and privacy terms apply. We do not control cookies placed on an unrelated external site.

Analytics, advertising and social-media cookies
At the date shown above, CertifyEPC does not install first-party Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, cross-site advertising, behavioural profiling or social-media tracking cookies.
We therefore do not currently show an optional-cookie preference banner solely for our own website. Visitors are still given this accessible policy explaining the strictly necessary cookie and external services.
If analytics or advertising is introduced, we will update this policy and deploy a consent mechanism before setting non-essential cookies where consent is required.

How to control or remove cookies
You can review, block and delete cookies using browser settings. The location varies, but is commonly under Privacy, Site data, Cookies or Tracking protection. You can also use a private browsing window, which normally removes local cookies when the private session closes.
Blocking all cookies can reduce website functionality. In particular:
- deleting
certifyepc.sidsigns you out; - blocking first-party cookies prevents secure customer, assessor and admin sessions;
- blocking Stripe technology may prevent card checkout or payment authentication; and
- blocking third-party media may prevent YouTube thumbnails or videos from loading.
Cookie controls do not delete order, invoice, report or account records stored lawfully in our database. Those records are covered by the Privacy Policy.

Consent, updates and regular review
Where optional cookies require consent, the choice must be clear and voluntary. Rejecting optional cookies will not prevent you from booking a core service. Any future consent control will allow non-essential categories to remain off until selected and will provide a practical method for changing the choice.
We review the website when services, embeds, payment tools or analytics change. Cookie names and durations controlled by third parties can change independently, so their current notices should also be reviewed when using those services.
The revised date at the top will be changed when this policy is materially updated.
